PE2_iMovie

On to the second half of my training on iMovie essentials. I am now on chapter four and using some of the techniques I have learned during this portion of my training on my very first iMovie project for Full Sail's EMDT program. I am a hands on person so you will see another short video at the end of this blog using some of the techniques I learned.

I am now 65% complete with my training.

I used transitioning, added a title and themed title during the first live clip.

One really cool thing I learned in this tutorial was how to add photos to beat markers. Another really cool application was using the picture in picture effect. Now I know how the video commentary can be done using iMovie, the way you can on ScreenFlow. Awesome....

In my first iMovie blog I many of the tools that were in this portion of the training, such as working with audio, special effects, and using photos. Reviewing the tutorial allowed me to perfect my techniques and put a name to what I was doing. This portion also showed how to use Ken Burns effect to make your photos come alive. What you really need to know about customizing this effect you need to know how to properly crop the photos.

All in all, this portion of the training was probably the most interesting because I learned how to do a few things that I have not done, nor have I seen others doing in their videos. Hopefully I can use this information to make some creative videos in the future.
