MAC wk 2 Response to Drew Clausing

Drew's Original Post:

The most interesting thing from the reading actually came very early in the reading.  The very first chapter discusses the perspectives that we have of our vision.  It essentially establishes that humans believe it is possible for us to “see” everything in existence.  And goes on to mention how easily it is to debunk that kind of thinking by establishing how other animals see and the different things they perceive.

I loved the quote by Pablo Picasso when given a picture of a man’s wife, “(She’s) rather small and flat”, of course, referring to the small and flat nature of the picture rather than the person.  :)

My Response:

Drew,

You picked up on the same aspect that intrigued me in the first few chapters in this book. As humans it is difficult to see everything in existence, however many of us think that we can and are oblivious to the fact that others may see something completely different. I would love to have read a little more about what you thought just to compare further.
